you could use a third instance which acts as sync master, wire them together with a real midi cable on your midi interface or use a virtual cable like midi yoke. but after loading a new song the clock wont run in sync, actually it doesn't run at all. for this reason you have to press the play button...

recording automation to clips
i want to record controller movements into midi clips just like with the pitchbend and modwheel. i know it works in arrangement view, but not in clip view.
is it impossible or am i just missing something?

yeah, i miss this one as well. i wonder why this very basic function isnt implemented. it sucks to create 7 extra channels for different reasons. i.e. when i need an open hat to be choked by a closed hat i put them on the last two pads which go to separate tracks each other. but when i now mute the ...
