Can the Launch Pad be used without installing Autocrap?
From what I've been reading, it's not just plug & play?

Yes, arp and rate. The instrument is one that came with Live (Loopmasters) bass.
I can't seem to get the envelope to do anything. Maybe I should do one of the Tutorials..
To bad automation was left out of the Session view. It would be killer!

Yes, it's midi data. And also in the arrange if I add (Play) in the automation it plays back just fine..

When I open the envelope up I can select the arp and rate and even draw in the track automation but on playback I hear nothing.
With all of the features in Live I can't believe you can not get automation into a clip? Is there any work around for this?

I have applied an arp to a bass and while turning one of the knobs on my mpk I see that I can record this automation into the Arrange. If I drag that clip into Session it Grays out and doesn't play the Rate automation? Can someone tell me is it possible to do this or can I record this info on a clip...

Try a new usb cable.. it's usually the culprit..

When setting up the MPK 61 in the midi prefs of Live, oddly Live does not respond at all to the knobs, faders, etc..,
yet if I set the midi prefs to MPK 49 Live immediately recognizes it and responds to the functions of the board?
Any thoughts would be appreciated..

I'm trying to put different patches into clips and for the life of me cannot find a way to open my plug in a Multi Channel. Is anyone using Spectrasonics plugs that can give me a heads up? I don't want to open 4 or 5 instances just to add 4 or 5 patches.. Oh, .. I'm using Live Lite 8, could that be ...

Oddly enough there is another movie or 2 in the tutorials that do play, so yes there is something else going on with that particular one..

Sorry for the TOTAL noob question.. I'm using Live Lite (Akai version 8.1.3) 2 days and I keep seeing screen shots of the mixer
with much larger faders (Length) which I don't have control over. Is there a command for this or is it my version of Live Lite?
