Re: Best new Bit of Studio Kit!
Oh yeah, I'll probably have it with arms since I rarely play guitar (or bass).

Re: Live + 3rd party plugins = FAIL
I read this thread. It worries me.
I draw two conclusions.
1) I wait.
2) I want to know how to work to minimalize the problem. Could somebody tell as telling a three year old that how can we achieve that?

Re: Arturia 3 for 1. Which instruments to pick?
I've been demoing all of these now except ARP which does not work at all. I mean it even the installation does not succeed. At the moment I would pick MInimoog, Jupiter and probably Moog Modular. Just makes me think if I would be better off with something more stable "vintage" stuff like D...

Re: Arturia 3 for 1. Which instruments to pick?
it's true, Arturia plugs crash Live like crazy....especially the ARP 2600, can't count the number of times it shut down Live, uggghhh. The prophet crashes live unless you close the session it's in before loading a new session (otherwise, CRASH) -- and yes, I've sent the appropriate crash logs. this...

Re: Flat freq headphones?
I just had my mind set up for HD-25 but now... Well, many say they are like a standard for djing and good for mixing too.
I tend to lean towards closed ones anyway to get a better picture of small things and bottom end. Will of course use monitors for the main picture.

Re: i found the perfect studio monitors!(Genelec)
What I meant was you should try them if your current store has let you down. Tis great that you have the opportunity to try them at home. Tbh I don't think you will need a sub. Lots of top producers don't use teem and if they are set incorrectly you will just have problems. Good luck with it :) Ok....

Re: i found the perfect studio monitors!(Genelec)
the entire 8000 series works extremely well with super low volumes or the total blast your neighbours will hate you (if they didn't shoot you) for. there is nothing like it that has such an equal output with different volume settings. go with the 8030s if you can afford them, they are definitely su...

Re: i found the perfect studio monitors!(Genelec)
No. Just a small netstore. They gave me a good price but I called local shop and next weekend I get to loan both 8020s and 8030s from them and test them in my tiny home studio. I take also Adam 7 sub so I can try that too with Gennies. Will be interesting.Rave wrote:Thomann?

Re: i found the perfect studio monitors!(Genelec)
Hi, after listening through Adams, Yams and all I'm about to join the G-club. I'm just really undecisive between 8020 and 8030 for my tiny bedroom studio with 8m2 (that's like 30m3). I would like to go 8030 to get better low end but am afraid if it is too much somehow. Are u 8030's happy with them? ...

Re: absynth 5, massive or FM8 for Suite 8?
I started to think that does my old Roland MC-808 have its say... One note with Absynth is that it accepts custom wav files as the basis for sounds; so your recorded MC-808 sounds could be loaded into Absynth and mangled with the envelopes, LFOs, effects and Aetherizer, and stored/categorized in it...
