Re: Fat Kicks and Big Snares
the most important thing is to start with the right sounds I think. If you pick the right kick and snare, you almost don't need to do anything from basic eqing, some compression, or not even. Really its like cooking, if the ingredients are not good, it won't work. Spend some time making your own, o...

Re: Which audio interface?
presonus audiobox vsl series is going to be my next interface. I would not recommend the 828mk3, the cuemix was dreadful to work with. - You would have to assign mixes and never click the mix button, depending on what you have routed you may blow something at full levels. The master volume knob, the...

Re: looking for a new audio interface
The cuemix software / newer motu series have a design flaw where master volume levels are set in software. If u don't have a Mackie big knob or some type of attenuator it is a real PITA.
I sold my 828 and decided to use my firebox. It was always rock solid; I plugged it in and it worked.

Re: Do I need Basstraps?
Just my opinion: Less is more. Even if the room is treated, you will always (i hope) listen on other systems for translation. I think its irrelavent to master a record to your personal bias. If you know how to listen, a couple or several sources are much more important than a silly "golden room...

Re: Snow Leopard is garbage. fuck you apple
U should always do a clean install fella. Insert the cd again there are tools to fix shit. Hopednu backed up because u should before every install. If u can clone yourndrive even better. this was from a clean install. using disk utilities to verify and repair permissions has no effect, actually non...

Re: Midi Note on Delay
that seems fairly trivial to build. Do you own Max for Live? Its the first thing I built! Everybody needs a MIDI Delay. On that note.. Probably should have put it up sooner ;) http://www.maxforlive.com/library/device.php?id=336 Hey, Thanks for the link and the device! Is there a way to get more res...

Midi Note on Delay
Hey guys,
I'm looking for a plug in that delays note ons with a specified time. it would be very useful for drum hits like clap snares.
any takers? i'd pay if the plug worked and the price was reasonable.
