Yeah, I do it all the time with RMX and Live, it's great! But still strictly speaking it's a sor of recycle process, too, meaning that you have to make your rex files in Recycle and then import them to RMX.

Don't know, man, it sounds too much of a hassle for nothing, why don't you render your vst's before you rewire?

I don't think you can use VSTs in Live while it is in rewire slave mode. You can use them only if it is a master...

I have done this and the button only works if on Ableton it is set to off. Sorry I was talking about FastTrackPro. I don't think FastTrack can do it.

I am not sure if FastTrack can send a mix to the headphones for monitoring, probably you can but I am not sure, you better check it out with other users or even with M-Audio. Another lightweight solution would be the Indigo DJ card.
