Re: Final Cut Pro X
Read a bit of the press release earlier and got a flashback of when they redesigned iMovie, making it a clusterfuck. I'm really curious to see how the new FCP turns out. apparently from some people like imovie (a clusterfuck) Just IMO. I can see what they were aiming for with the redesign, but in t...

Re: Quick question about tuning kick and bass and key of track
I'd say it's better to figure out what key your track is first, then work the percussion tuning around that. Your key really depends on the harmonic content of your track. If you don't know much music theory, I've found it helps to write down what notes you're using in your track and figuring out wh...

Re: Anyone play video games here?
I've been glued to E3 coverage, and have to say I'm pretty excited for Bioshock Infinite. The first one is one of my favorite 360 games along with Dead Space, but I think I'm burnt by so many sequels that are more of the same (Assassin's Creed, I'm looking at you). I think scraping Rapture and the f...

Re: Can I send midi signal from 1 midi controller to 2 macbooks?
You could also daisy chain them using your Mac's MIDI over Network wirelessly or using an ethernet cable. You can set it up in Audio MIDI Setup (it's in Applications > Utilities). This SOS article explains how to set up the MIDI link between computers: http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/mar07/articles/...

Re: Anyone play video games here?
I made the mistake of buying Trials HD for Xbox. Now I've developed an addiction to that thing.

Re: Timecode Vinyl in Live (not Serato + Bridge)
...I can see why not even the bridge offers the possibility of scrubbing clips or live sets back and forth with vinyl, .... The Bridge does scrub a Live set back and fourth? Just not clips. I guess I'm just over the whole issue. Browsing clips from Live into Ms Pinky (a less accurate, and less feat...

Re: Timecode Vinyl in Live (not Serato + Bridge)
True, and I can see how it's not exactly what everyone is hoping for, but it's still some really cool functionality which I don't think any other DVS offers. Thinking about it, I can see why not even the bridge offers the possibility of scrubbing clips or live sets back and forth with vinyl, it migh...

Re: Timecode Vinyl in Live (not Serato + Bridge)
I'm running Ms Pinky with a Traktor Audio 6 and couldn't be happier. I don't own M4L, so I haven't had a chance to check the plug in that loads audio directly from Live, which does look cool.

Re: Live + Native Instruments Audio 10
In Preferences > Audio Settings, there are 2 buttons called Input Config and Output Config, with these, you can enable Inputs and Outputs on your Audio 10 for use with Live. It's a good idea to just enable those you plan to use with it. Live's Master Output selection is on the Master track right abo...

Add an Utility plug-in at the end of each track. Then you can use its gain to control your track level without breaking your automation.

nathannn!!!! :x I think it's only fair you post a Microsoft keynote to compare with. Or Google. Do they even have any? 8O I imagine they would include brainwashing phrases like "it's cheap", "fixing it in a service pack", "as soon as hardware manufacturers standardize"...
