I knew how to switch between modes and had tried both HUI and MC but at that time my scripts weren't in the correct place - obviously they are now and at the path you specified.
I somehow convinced myself that the scripts weren't using Mackie mode ...

That's a rather different path to where the XTouch scripts currently reside - I initially followed the path in this - https://help.ableton.com/hc/en-us/articles/206240184-Creating-your-own-Control-Surface-script. But that didn't work.

I found where to put the scripts - appdata\roaming\ableton\Live 12.1.5\preferences\user remote scripts\

are there any requirements to edit userconfiguration.txt ?

In Ableton settings I reference "Behringer-X-touch-for ableton-main" with default port 1 presumably? With Track/Sync/Remote enabled ...

Just a very basic question please - where exactly do I copy these scripts ? I don't have a "remote scripts" folder in Documents\Ableton\User Library\...

And I just place the scripts in there and select within preferences in Live 12?

My Push 1 nearly unusable it's so sticky. Tried damp cloth but whereas it takes dust off the original now cleaner surface is horribly sticky.
I don't know why manufacturers use this stuff - it's not just Ableton gear - I have a Focusrite with sticky knobs ( - no one needs that ...

I have a problem with Omnisphere (V2) since the last upgrade (2.3h) running in 32 bit Live - crashes as soon as it scans the VST. If I manually remove it Live loads fine - its definitely this VST thats casuing the crash.

To further test I installed the 64 bit version of Live - no crash - loads ...

The lack of velocity thing, that is for the step sequencer? Or for live playing of notes?

The 'script mods', offers a few features. They are:
Shift+play to play Arrangement
Shift+knob to do fine increment control
Double tap a knob (I think while holding shift) to reset parameter to default ...

When you update, your best bet is removing your Push remote script directory completely and letting the install create a new one.

That at least applies to anything modified.

Shouldn't have to be that much of a pain in the ass but that's the effort required if you want special features I guess ...

Using Push ok this morning, received an auto update to 9.1.3 and that seems to have stopped Push working at all - doesn't recognise Live is running. No other changes & Push works on my laptop running 9.1.2.

Yeah, I signed up for this also and it saves much pain. As a user of vsts as preference these features were really badly missed.
Nice job.
My install on Win 8.1 differed but sussed it out anyway.

Highly recommended for any NI fans.

Now that's MUCH better - thanks for your efforts on this - very appealing scheme.

Been a long wait. Glad I bought it through a dealer - hugely helpful.
