Re: Odd shaped room...need suggestions
Thanks for the input guys. I'm also wondering if the pitched ceiling would cause a lot of "wubbyness"(yes that's my technical term),with it bouncing off the back wall and sending it basically at where I'm sitting?

Odd shaped room...need suggestions
I recently moved in to a home that has a room that was once a carport.SCORE!!!! the problem is the odd shape. It's basically a 16 x 8 rectangle, but the height on one 16ft wall is 6ft high, and the other 16ft wall is 10ft high. I have my monitors set up on the 6ft side and the bass is extreme! Would...

Re: Portable Midi controlers
I have the APC40 and a keystation61 at home... the MPKmini really has nothing on that set-up, but for taking a controller to work the mini is great. With the included editing software you can set your pads to be like on/off switches or drum pads. everything is assignable with ctrl/m in Live. I'm sti...

Re: Portable Midi controlers
So I went to Sam Ash and dropped the $99.99 + tax on the Akai MPK mini... It looks like a toy, but once you get beyond that it is exactly what I was looking for in a portable device. The included editing program is very noob friendly. So far assigning midi has been hassle free. The pads feel good an...

Re: Portable Midi controlers
don't want the I-pad....maybe I'll wait for them to cost $99, but no thanks. So GB, you recommend the MPK mini? From what I found with searching the forum it sounds like a hassle to get going. Are my assumptions wrong? Definintly looks like what I need...

Portable Midi controlers
Looking for a hassle free controller for when I travel. Searched the forum and found a bit of info, but most of them contain complaints or workarounds... Is there a controller out there that doesn't require an extensive knowledge of midi script? Plug and play maybe? I own an apc40, but that's a bit ...

Re: What headphones do you use?
Love my Shure SRH840s!!!!... Found out that my 7506s were not working the day I had a Deejay gig(thats how long I go between my "old school gigs), so I called the 840s up for nightclub duty, and was surprised how well they worked in that environment! Hope you enjoy them!!!!

Re: Warp It In 7, Play It In 8?
Had the same problem going from 7 to 8 but watched some tuts on Youtube and started to get the hang of it within minutes. One method that seems to help the transition from warping in 7 to 8 is to place warp marker on first beat then right click and select "set 1.1.1 here" then right click ...
