Re: THIS FORUM’S FUTURE: what do you want to see? 🔥
Some kind of emphasis on ENJOYING ABLETON. I don't enjoy Ableton much anymore. Maybe it's because it has gotten too complicated. Also, file management is confusing. Also, I'm interested in basic things like fastest and most enjoyable way to create and complete a song with Ableton.

Re: Any VST to improve in Ableton ?
Hybrid Reverb IMO is pretty good for emulating those Valhalla style reverbs.
"Pretty good" is good. But if I can get a 50% improvement in the overall sound with just one click, I'd pay the extra money any day. The cost/benefit is extreme. Even 10% improvement with one click and one purchase is ...

Re: Any VST to improve in Ableton ?
I'm not fussy about details, and I want to keep things simple by sticking to Ableton stuff. But one thing that makes a huge fast difference to the overall sound is plonking a Valhalla reverb on the master track (sorry if that's an audio sin). It makes a night and day difference compared to the ...

Re: Ableton Note wishlist
If additions are made, please don't increase complexity. Actually, I'd keep it the way it is. One of the biggest problems with Live is overwhelm - too many options. The big benefit of Note is that it cuts all that out so that you can make quick progress without going off into tangents.

Search your drives for one of the file names, then open the containing folder, etc.

Re: Hybrid Reverb Generic Master Track Settings
Why not just drop a track you really like and listen to it ?
When I compare various settings it becomes a blur. When I drop Vallhalla on, the space, sparkle, and joy instantly instantly hit me.
I think Ableton should admit up front that Hybrid Reverb is a sound mangling tool, not a mastering ...

Re: Hybrid Reverb Generic Master Track Settings
Bump. No ideas? I suspect Hybrid Reverb is really just a sound mangling tool rather than a good normal reverb like Valhalla.

Hybrid Reverb Generic Master Track Settings
Hi,
Can anyone suggest generic settings for the Hybrid Reverb on the Master track? In the past, when I chucked a Valhalla reverb on the master track, everything instantly sparkled and that was inspiring. :D The old stock reverb depressed me. :(
NB: I do not intend to become a master of Hybrid ...

No, just counteracting the claim that MacOS is quick and easy to learn.Methinks in some of these cases, it's the user being fiddly. Kind of like traveling to a foreign country and expecting everyone to speak your language.

Re: MacBook Air M1 on battery
"MacOS is fiddly as hell" Maybe you can share some examples so forum members might be able to assist?
Thanks for the offer. It's probably fine for Ableton. But if you use your computer for other things, then it severely reduces productivity. The following has nothing to do with Ableton, but it ...

Re: MacBook Air M1 on battery
Thanks again for the replies.
With Windows laptops the Ableton interface would fade out or wash out when running on battery. Presumably it was because of the power schemes. But I heard the MacBook Air M1 stays on maximum power even when not connected to a charger.
Incredibly, one day after ...

Re: MacBook Air M1 on battery
Thanks for the replies. It looks like Macbook Air M1 will keep the Ableton GUI clearer than windows laptops when on battery. Another issue:
Has anyone moved from using a Windows mouse to using the Macbook's trackpad for Ableton? If so, do you prefer it or is it equal or is it worse? I'm going ...
