How does one convert a MIDI track, for instance in Session view, to an audio track, to save CPU strain? I can't find that tip anywhere and I'm just plain stuck. I know someone out there has this figured out, so let's have it!!

Where does one save VST presets like .fxb and .fxp files in Mac OS X? In which directory path? Does it really matter where you save them? I've read that some people just put them in the ~/Users folder, but I haven't found anything definitive on sorting out .404 files and .fxb files for all my VSTi, ...

When I download VSTs, I always end up with a bunch of .fxb and .fxp files, as well as some .nki and .sxt files. I realize these are patches for the VSTs, but what are they, for what program? Are .fxb files for Cubase, or am I wrong? Or can I use these on my Mac with Live 5? I'm just confused, and ca...
