Re: Live 11.1 on Windows 10 - VST issues?

Not just me then. Any of you using Windows shortcut files to organise your VSTs?

Re: Multiple VST folders

This feature request has become much more urgent. I was previously able to get around the lack of multiple custom VST folders by using Windows shortcuts. Live 11.1 has stopped following shortcuts. So: I install a plugin. It doesn't give me a choice of where to install and installs somewhere odd. Liv...

Re: Live 11.1 on Windows 10 - VST issues?

I guess, depending on any answers I get, I have a couple of feature requests:

- Either re-enable shortcuts (if they've been disabled) or allow multiple custom VST folders.
- Re-enable the option to disable plugin scan on launch, unless there's some replacement.

Live 11.1 on Windows 10 - VST issues?

I've installed Live 11.1, but it doesn't give me access to a large number of my VSTs. Firstly, I'm getting an error on ValhallaRoom (an alert pops up after Ableton loads), and I can' use it. It's still working nicely on v11. Secondly, I'm using shortcuts a lot in my VST folders. Installers can insta...

Re: Loop after consolidate

Thanks Richie. It's still something that will interrupt workflow, which is something I want to avoid.

No-one's come across a keyboard combination or anything have they?

Loop after consolidate

After consolidating, the newly generated clip is set not to loop. I can't seem to find a setting which changes this behaviour. When editing things like drum loops or bounced bass-lines in the arrange view, I would often like to be able to consolidate then immediately stretch to loop across a few phr...

Re: Save then close Max window breaks functionality of a delay

Looks like I've fixed it. Basically, I tracked the problem down to the M4L.de.vdelay~ abstraction. The tutorial told me that I should be able to open abstractions as objects by typing their names in, but that didn't work for the vdelay. Also, when I re-opened the patcher containing the vdelay after ...

Central location for M4L patches...?

Is there a central location for people to upload or link to M4L patches?

If not, would anyone be interested in using one if it were to be built? Something a bit like Sourceforge... Could be used to get recruits for joint projects and the like as well.

Re: modulating vst parameters

In the production forum someone posted a Max patch which lets you sidechain anything with anything. I was going to take it apart to allow any LFO (or repeating abstract wave shape, like the ones in the FM tutorials) to be applied to any Live parameter... But if that's what you're after, and you make...

Re: Save then close Max window breaks functionality of a delay

It may be something to do with abstractions, of which a few are featured in the Filter Delay. Do I need to do anything to make them available before I save it out? The other filters seem to save OK, and they include abstractions so I'm not 100% sure this is the issue. Any ideas? Can anyone replicate...

Save then close Max window breaks functionality of a delay

OK, so I got M4L recently and I've been looking at the tutorials. The delay tutorial was very interesting and contained the filter delay, which I really liked the sound of. So I made a small change (to add controls to change left and right filters simultaneously), saved it, then closed the M4L windo...

Re: Got a minute to test a possible new timing problem?

Good to hear you got an answer on that. Can you counter the problem using follow actions to re-trigger the clip periodically? I wouldn't have thought so. It's a problem with physics! Basically, the loop you're recording isn't a whole number of samples long. This means the recorded loop gains a part...
