Anyone know of a good synth sample library?

Ok, Live 4 is amazing. I just want to use the Simpler synth but I'm short on synth samples. Anyone know where I can go to load up on sounds?

it's kind of a broad question. but for 700 you could certainly get something great. I managed to get the Roland JV-1010 for $100 and I got the old Yamaha Tx81z for $50. but I'm uber-cheap when it comes to hardware...but you can get some great stuff for not a lot of money.

i absolutely love it. I believe that all the software and sequencers necessary to make cool electronic music all came out in the 80s. I recently bought an Atari 1040ST but haven't had the time to hook it up and figure it out.

well hulk, Live now has midi, so even for people who follow your train of thought its ok, you can use midi in live and retain that control you are talking about, and learn all about midi like you're talking about, so basicly your thread would have made more sense before Live 4s announcement but i a...

Hulk, you appear to be a hair's breadth away from being a real stupid c*nt if you can hit a forum with a idiot comment like that. It is even more ridiculous that you then crawl in with an apology... Get a freeekin' spine, you fukwit, wow, now YOU'RE a real prick. I was just retaliating to these dec...

Live is for lazy people

Ok, now that I got your attention I'll tell you what my angle is. I feel that this amazing software has encouraged many electronic musicians to bypass the art of midi editing. I include myself in this. I jumped right into using Live with gusto because it allowed me to build on sloppy methods I'd bee...

I tried to move all my work flow to using Live. Even though this only consisted of about 8 complete tracks usually I ran into some pretty major difficulties due to not having enough CPU to do the job. I still needed to sync Live up to a sequencer for my synth and drum parts and that created a huge l...

The only software program that comes close to improving on a classic hardware midi sequencer is Numerology. You can and should use Reason and Live in tandem with your MPC2000. Reason is very strong as a synthesizer, Live is very strong as a sampler and loop player. As far as midi editing with Cubase...

Does anybody have any experience with Numerology? What's it like to work with? Is the sound quality ace? Ease of programming VSTi's? I want a simple rig that would let me program with a step sequencer NI's software. ---------------------- Siddhu Numerology is the best and sturdiest pattern/step seq...

thanks for all your helpful suggestions! I think i'm going to seriously consider going with Amadeus II. I tried it and it had a lot of really great functionality. Downlsampling actually worked correctly! plus vst plugs and all that good stuff. only 30 bucks.
