OS X Audio Editing Software?

Is there any good OS X .wav/.aiff audio editing software? Audacity didn't seem any good. Peak seems more than i'm looking for. Whatever happened to simple apps like Sound Edit Pro? I am having a tough time downsampling wavs so they work correctly in my Korg Electribe ES1.

But don't you find the OS9 crashes to be much more devastating than some cpu loss in X?

The MicroMod is multitimbral you could have 3 sounds with one patch it only depends of your cpu's synth load i have got one and it's the best Live's partner HK that's something i'd really like to try out. a little out of the price range for the time being. I don't quite understand how my cpu's synt...

uh oh, that's not a good sign. I was hoping i could edit the sounds somehow in Cubase. Not that I've ever tried to do that, but i think if I can somehow use an external editor with it it won't be so bad. As I'm told, editing the sounds on that thing is only slightly less painful than an all expenses...

Hey guys, thanks for all the advice. I scored a Yamaha TX81Z on ebay for 50 bucks so i'm hoping that will tide me over. It's sound is similar to the Yamaha DX7 which is supposed to be one of those classic staple synths. The reason i hesitate on going for the Electribes and other desktop synths inclu...

Hey guys thanks for the tips. I definitely want something with at least 4 voices of polyphony and also preferably multi timbral so I can layer different sounds on different midi channels. The oberheim and e-mu are looking good.i hadn't considered a full rack.

Good, small, affordable hardware half rack or desktop synth?

Hey guys, i'm in the market for a good small hardware half rack desktop synth module. Can anyone recommend a good one? I've been looking at the Yamaha An200, Roland SH-32, or Alesis Nanosynth. Are there any other cheapish small synth modules? I'm trying to stay in the $200 range. It doesn't matter h...

FCB1010 solution for those having difficulty (OS X)

apparently this little free app can convert Program changes to Note On changes.

http://www.charlie-roberts.com/controlAid/

that was the problem most of us had when trying to get the FCB1010 to work with Live? well, time to dig it out of the closet and try it out!

Oner post out of 81 isnt a lot. Is it ? Come on man ! 8O hey man, i'm just trying to protect my favorite forum. If you remember, the original post on this was really lame. I don't mind a political rant here and there, but at least try to tie it in to the reason we all come to this forum. and i'm ju...

sheez, the next time i post about some obscure midi ableton question I'll be sure to tack on a bit of political jargon to make sure I get some replies. I'm definitely in "agreance" with a lot of you guys on the issues, but i just don't come to to this forum for this shit. i go to other for...

And that, my friend, is why I am switching from Mac to PC in the next few months... My supposedly "trouble free" mac has given me more issues than I ever expected, and it all started with OSX. I couldn't burn CDs with track breaks, so I downloaded the newest Roxio toast, and now I can't b...

Re: Syncing LIVE with LIVE from laptop to laptop

We are going to play a live gig soon with the laptop ->laptop setup....was recommended by Ableton support to use M-Audio MIDISport as interfaces.... is this possible? you would need more than just a Midisport on each computer. you'd need like a midi hub that you both plug into too i think. it will ...

Midi-sync in live does suck. solution. don't use Live as the master. Your hardware will have stable sync and Live works fine as a slave in sync mode.

I'm thinking of replacing my UC-33 and Edirol PCR-30 with the Micro Kontrol. What do you guys think? I know i'm sacrificing a bunch of knobs, but I get an extra octave on the keyboard, same amount of faders, cool lcd's, pads!!, enough knobs for panning. I only use the keyboard as a keyboard as a com...
