Did you ever consider going with a smaller manufacturer? Sager sells incredible, powerful laptops and has a great customer service record. If you do decide to buy, I suggest PC Torque be your eTailer of choice for Sager equipment... Adam at PCTorque is brilliant... www.sagernotebooks.com www.pctorqu...

be patient...

do you want a useless, buggy beta?
wouldn't you rather wait a few extra hours/days for a stable, usable beta?

the abletons found a few more bugs yesterday and decided to work them out before a beta release...

No need to be sorry....

Get some damn sleep. I don't want sleepy and cranky programmers working on a product that I'm going to rely on in a live situation! :-)

Rest up and start again fresh...

A day or two more isn't going to kill us. [it might kill you, though...]

Well, I think you may have misunderstood me....

I'm developing Flash-based material that 'listens' to live music and reacts, or in some cases even generates content, to the music...

This isn't a web based product, but visuals that would accompany a live performance in a club...

Thanks. I try...

I'm working on an assload of Flash content that syncs to music as I'm starting to dip into the world of VJ'ing.

Is this beta test limited to current owners of Live 1.x, or is it truly a PUBLIC beta?

As soon as I get off my ass and finishing something. I have a perpetual case of 'start and don't finish'. Plus, I've been working on alot of programming/graphics projects lately, so music has kind of taken a back seat.

Glitchy features in Live2?

Will Live2 be able to assign midi controllers to the "WARP' section of clips? I would very much like to change the BPM, etc. of loops while they are playing with my PC1600X instead of my mouse....

...i'd be happy with midi timecode/midi sync information being sent to the vst effects plugins....

...and the ability to load sounds into memory instead of disk streaming...

other than that, live is pretty much where i want it to be.

good job, guys [and girls]
