I outputed the channel to sends only and disabled them for the recording period. It still records both metronome and music but I *think* at lower lvl, could be just my idea though.

I'll try to find another card, and check. I'll try outputting to another channel too and see.

Weird issue though, 'cause as I posted before garage band doesn't record its metronome.

Tried with GarageBand '08, no metronome or music is recorded.
