in other news [spl] you have the coolest audio-themed staff abbreviation, it probably beats [mal] 's french badness. So, there's that We also happen to have a [daw]. He's just not on the forum. Just thought I'd put in out there. ;) Regardinf the topic, though, I can't really contribute anything mea...

Re: Approaching people because of the song they’re blasting

And here I think the approach is not as good IMO. Why delete the whole thread, in which good discussions took place, just because one or two posters got carried away?! The delete-specific-posts-and-warn-poster approach would have been much better I think. The big brother feeling doesn't come from t...

Re: 30% off packs

bumping this with a slightly unrelated question.. How does one update packs (alot of mine are out of date, it seems)? Just by clicking the new .alp file, or? Downloading and opening the .alp files should overwrite the existing Live Packs if needed, yes. If you get the "Already installed" message bu...

I will say this though. They are a bit hypersensitive about females from over the top misogyny to less offensive stereotyping. Well beats me, I will say this - sexism is a bit of a sensitive topic, wouldn't you agree? Anywhere in general, but certainly so on a tech-related forum, which as we all kn...

Re: Approaching people because of the song they’re blasting

I have already sent Tom an email, suggesting that he expunge our retarded friend's unfortunate remarks. I have to ask why. Ableton took down the original comment which is obviously their right but can we, apart from being governed by something else, let some free speech be exercised? If you want it...

Re: Crash hell

Did you update the plugs to their respective latest versions? I'd recommend to update to 9.1.2 and then, if the problem remains, send a Crash Report to our Tech Support - https://www.ableton.com/en/help/contact-support/. Technically, we can only ever investigate crashes with the latest version since...

Re: Before I update to 9.1.2....

Excellent, thanks. It's just all of my saved presets and racks I'm worried about losing. Sets and samples are fine as they are saved elsewhere anyway. Your User Library will remain unchanged, it's just the program itself that will be updated. As an aside, this is one reason you shouldn't set your U...

Are you running the latest versions of both Live and the plugs? I would make sure you are, and if the issue still persists, contact our Support: https://www.ableton.com/en/help/contact-support/

Re: Having a hard time getting my feet wet with Simpler/Sampler

My two cents: I make a lot of sampling-based music and depending on the "feel" I'm going for, I sometimes find myself just dragging samples to Sampler and tuning them. Going purely by ear can give you slightly sloppy results that can add to the atmosphere - or maybe that's just my feeling. Fo...
