Did you update the plugs to their respective latest versions? I'd recommend to update to 9.1.2 and then, if the problem remains, send a Crash Report to our Tech Support - https://www.ableton.com/en/help/contact-support/. Are you running the latest versions of both Live and the plugs? I would make sure you are, and if the issue still persists, contact our Support: https://www.ableton.com/en/help/contact-support/

You can update to the latest version of Live 8 Intro - to do so, please just log in to your account and visit the account page. A download of the latrest version should be available to you from there. If you can't see it, please get in touch with our Support.

My two cents: I make a lot of sampling-based music and depending on the "feel" I'm going for, I sometimes find myself just dragging samples to Sampler and tuning them. Going purely by ear can give you slightly sloppy results that can add to the atmosphere - or maybe that's just my feeling....
