Hey guys ! Thanks so much for the responses :)
Yur - yes you got it man. I am familiar with all of this, but I am looking for another level of automation which I am not sure is possible. See my response to S4 below.

Question - Changing Clip Launch Mode - MIDI Mapping
Hey all - I am currently working on a live performance that heavily utilizes clip launch mode properties. What I am doing is imagine a column of 8 clips with all of their launch properties set to 1 bar. So after pressing the first clip, it launches the next clip after 1 bar, and then it keeps going ...

Is it possible to transpose multiple samples at once?
Hi all - I recently got a sample pack which requires further modifications to ensure the sounds play back at the right speed. For example here is the situation:
-I have 1000 samples that are automatically warped (warping is set to on in Ableton -> the files are in my User library under samples)
-I ...

Re: Massive anxiety attacks on starting to use Ableton, help!
Hey Kenny,
Definitely a good idea mate as I am not well versed with grooves at all. I should maybe make a list of things to learn in periods of time when I don't feel like churning some creative gears. Grooves will definitely be on there!

Sorry guys, I am speechless. I left the forum after my last post feeling empowered and feel I have a great guide right here in this forum post. As I was cleaning some dishes I glanced at my faded screen and thought, "I wonder if anyone else has posted?"

Wow!!! :D I never expected anyone to even respond to this...
This may sound stupid, but all of your responses really helped. I took some time to think about what you all said, and I realized I was really getting hung up on my own impossible expectations. Sometimes you need someone to tell you what ...

Massive anxiety attacks on starting to use Ableton, help!
Hi all,
I don't post on this forum often, (maybe I should!) but I really felt like I needed to ask for help outside of my own circles of friends who don't know anything about music.
I have been trying for a year now to start making my own music with Ableton, and keep getting into these fits of ...

Re: Event Editor in Ableton? All I want to see is key signatures
Hey Bob,
Thanks for the reply. I figured out a pencil and paper can fix that since you pencil all the notes in, you should know what key they are in (DUH!) haha.
Just curious though, what IS Ableton's workflow in your opinion?
Regards,
sun

Event Editor in Ableton? All I want to see is key signatures
Hi all,
This is one of my first posts on the ableton forums, so please don't tear me apart! I have been reading a music theory book, and it mentions that in most software packages these days (like Reason and Logic etc...) you can apparently see what's referred to as an 'Event Editor'. All I want to ...

Question regarding drums/bass/kicks
Hey all,
I am very new to Ableton. I come from a DJing background. My question is:
I know there are some varied ways to create a bass line; getting a mic and slapping your room mate in the face for example. However, I find I am getting caught up on whether it's okay to just sample a kick and then ...
