Honestly... if this is your first foray into 'studio' monitors and you have 250-300$, then it really does not matter what you buy. In this price range they are all made in china. Also, you have no experience to know what you like or dislike. Basically, regardless of what you get you will be shocked...

Why´s that? A little warping and few FX should run fine with 8 as with 5.Valiumdupeuple wrote:On such a computer, you'll run Live 5 fine, but not 8.
And as I understand the op Live ran fine before upgrading the OS.

Don't quit your day job. Unless the music is paying as much and more....or you are young and have no relationship or personal possessions except instruments, have a secure place to sleep and are okay with making music for next to nothing and have a place to fall back on (parents)....then do it.
