works fine for me. I just bought one today. It just needs to be easier to customize and delete templates. If I wanna control multiple instruments, FX's, scenes like track setup templates, should I turn off the automap in Live? --------------------------- Macbook Pro 2 Ghz, 2 GB, Live 5.2, Fireface ...

Hi everyone, Is it possible to use Remote SL without automapping to create your own templates just like normal midi controller? It seems I will ignore Automap for sometime. Are they compatible with Intel-Macs? The reason I'm willing to get one of them is simply I couldn't find any alternatives to Re...

the other things is I can never reach to, lets say %80 CPU load in Live without pops and crackles. Is it because of Live using one core? it's cause Live is Live! :D There is no computer I've used XP or OSX that doesn't crackle when live gets up to 80%. Hopefully Live 6 will change this. I hope as w...

ekg and earthlinger.... please remember that the performnace you're getting with the machines stepped down is NOT your permanent performance. when the application needs more power, the chips will go to full speed without you knowing and you'll get full performance. there's no need for full performa...

Hi I'm not sure how useful my advice is going to be as I use the Fireface with PC. However, I can confirm that with both my 2.4 Ghz P4 Desktop and my Dell Inspiron 9400 laptop I can "almost" get away with 48 samples. 64 samples is fine. I'd contact rme about the firmware issue, I've never...

sorry i can't be of much help, although it would probably be most wise to keep the lappy off the unit, maybe put the fireface in a small rack and put the lappy on that... one question... at 256, how many ms total latency on that bad boy? thanks In Live input and output latency is both 7ms overall 1...

RME Fireface 256 latency normal?

Hi everyone, I got my Fireface 800 today. As I'm busy with testing the unit, I wanted to share some questions; - The Driver CD which came with the unit is issued in 01/2006. I downloaded the latest drivers for macintel and easily installed them (version 2.43). However I couldn't manage to install an...
