Re: Can I Tune the Launchkey Mini Drum Pads

I think the problem is the pads are fixed notes. That means I can only assign 16 notes at a time. If I move the rack selector up and down, it will not do anything, i.e., it will not automatically reassign the pads. To access more than 16 sounds, I would have to reassign the note values. Do other con...

Re: Can I Tune the Launchkey Mini Drum Pads

Couldn't find any info on changing the pad tuning other than a reference page showing the Msg#. I don't know what to do with that info if that is, in fact, the method to change to pads.

Can I Tune the Launchkey Mini Drum Pads

When playing drum racks, the drum pads appear to be fixed in pitch, that is, pad one is C3. On racks where there are multiple octaves, I can't get the pads to move to those "notes." Is this the way it is or is there a way to "tune" the pads so, for example, pad 1 becomes c4, or c2? Currently, I'm us...

SVF Notch not working?

Learning M4L. Have set up an SVF. LP, HP & BP all working as expected but when I try the Notch, I get no effect change. I tried this a number of times including just creating a single output testing each filter. They all work (for me) except the notch. Essentially, I get a wide open LP. Tried a numb...

Patch Changing

I have a composition that is using a large number of VSTs so I can switch patches. I found this thread https://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=184758 which describes using an instrument rack to hold "thousands" of VSTs with no heavy penalty to the CPU. I could not get this to work past a few V...

What can you do with a single pad?

A while ago, I saw a demo of Push where the player bent notes by pressing the corner of a pad. I've yet to see this demonstrated again anywhere. Ideally, I'd like to be able to bend a note up and down and control the volume as well, possibly throwing in a control parameter as well (i.e., filter cuto...

Re: Launchpad95: Instrument, Scales, Step Sequencer, Device Ctrl

Can confirm this fix works on Beta 9.1.2b1.

Thanks for this fix. I thought I was going crazy when it didn't work. Great product. Saved me $600 over Push...for now, anyway.

YES! That was what I was looking for. Did the trick and then some.
(BTW, this is a good example for multiple track editing offered by (gasp) Bitwig.)

Many thanks to all!

Re: Doubling time value of composition

Ideally, I'd like to convert the current project which is 20 bpm to about 80 bpm or higher. The main reason is to make what are now 16th notes into quarter notes or even half notes. By doing this I can then use finer note values. If I continue at the 20 bpm, the way it is written, I'll have to use 6...

Doubling time value of composition

I have a MIDI composition that I'd like to slow down further. Unfortunately, it is already at 20 bpm so I can't move the clock any more. What I'd like to do is get the bpm up to about 80 which means I have to quadruple the value of each note. In other words, a note currently at a quarter note value ...

Re: Can you play a Live clip, a Steam demo and view YouTube

As far as I can tell, all rates are 44.1. Firefox uses VCL Web plugin to output youtube (or at least I think it does), but there is no config option.

Solved: Can you play a Live clip, a Steam demo and YouTube

All at the same time? I have a Focusrite 8i6 and I can't do that. I can play one or the other but no 2 at the same time. I don't know if this is a driver or config issue but I'd really like to follow a YT M4L tutorial. I've tried different combinations of ins/outs on the Focusrite with no luck and A...

Re: Randomly enveloping parts of a long sample

Ooooofh. I'm so embarrased. My keyboard was off. Once I discovered this everything worked just as I wished.
My apologies to all from this dufus!

Thanks to all.

Re: Randomly enveloping parts of a long sample

I only see one effect, that being Max MIDI Effect->Envelope.amxd. I've got the effect mapped to the slider of the sample track and the MIDI effect track armed. When I hit the KB, nothing triggers. I"ve put the sample tracks slider to 0 before mapping. When I play the track it performs like the slide...
