Re: Skrillex Bass Wobble

Sounds quite impressive and I would love to see the files, or even a description or screenshots. That glitched out bass sound championed by Wolfgang originally and now Skrillex, Porter Robinson and some others does not lend itself to reverse-engineering (and saying that it has lfo filtering, overdri...

Re: Flat freq headphones?

I use a pair of DT-150's for some of my mixing (that, monitors, and custom iems)and they're quite flat other than bass rolloff which is inevitable in virtually any pair of cans in their price range.

Re: Fix the sync issues now !! yes or no ?

I'd love to see better midi sync. Unfortunately, even the best MIDI implementation will drift a bit.

What would be really great would be proper OSC clock support so we can get a near-perfect sync. But even a better MIDI implementation would be good.

Re: midi sync two laps,on slave tempo variate

Basically, midi tries to send a bunch of messages between the program to figure out the clocks. The problem is midi sync is pretty awful - it winds up fluctuating generally a few bpm because of its imperfections. If you need perfect sync, you need to use the nudge controls. You can try using an exte...

Re: Super transparent filter vst?

I'm assuming you've tried using EQ8 in high quality mode rather than just the autofilter. I use that for my smartmixer setup. I find Fabfilter Pro-Q is quite nice as a transparent EQ, but you would need to try it to see it works. I normally use it because it's sleeker than EQ8, has a built-in freque...

Re: dedicated master clocks, worth it or audibly insignificant

Scientific tests suggests that jitter is inaudible until it reaches >30-50 ns in sighted tests, and a few times that in blind tests. I don't want to google around to find them, but upgrading your master clock is more than a little silly. By the way, it's rare to find gear with even 5 ns jitter. The ...

Re: new macbook pro i7 issues

I've had my i7 MBP since it came out and have never had any stability or heat issues. Yes, it gets hot, but it's perfectly stable and very fast.

I'm using 4 gb of RAM and the 500 gb 7200rpm HD.

Re: More DJ friendly functions

First post on this forum as I wanted to emphasize that some of these features would be really helpful, easy to implement, and would gain live a lot of users or at least stop users from switching. - Dedicated DJ EQ - DJ style looper on the fly like in the DVS systems There are plenty of high quality,...
