hi,
i'm having problems copying any number of clips from one file to another by copying and pasting. i am almost positive that in pre-ableton 3 versions that i did this often. now, however, if i copy some clips and open a new song, there is no option to paste.

is there something i can change ...

i am using waves plugins (via waveshell) vst. if i save an ableton session with these included, it asks me to select a plugin on startup, and regardless of what i pick, it says cannot load, and then crashes. this has made it impossible to recover any session files that i have created that use these ...

is it possible to stream an entire improvised session to disk? ie. start recording and then drop files in and manipulate them while recording?

so far i have only been able to stream a session that i record into an arrange first.

you can also just use no quantization or warping, and use samples (loops) with different time signatures (or non-proportional lengths). you can do really interest polyrhythms that have absolutely no reference to 4/4 time whatsoever.
