Re: Guess the Trumpet VSTi - can anyone identify it?

I've watched this video from YouTube many times and am impressed with the Harmon mute sound that is played at 3.00. It looks like it's coming from a VSTi in Live on a Mac. Can anyone identify the plugin? AFAIK, not Miles'tone, Virtual Trumpet or WIVI. Cheers, G he is most likely just playing the so...

Doesn't he said he plays samples shortly before he starts playing? Yes, he does, but he doesn't say where they come from. Kontakt is mentioned on the des...

At the moment, I'm supposed to be remixing track for a friend of mine's band. but it doesn't look like getting finished as I'm not good enough and don't have the time to learn at the moment (too much kit to distract me).
It would be an attempt at techno.

@ kyle web -
That sounds great.
Let's try and drum up support for the night and we can arrange it.

I think this would be beneficial for several reasons. a) Guaranteed venue every time. b) Doesn't cost much, espesh when divided between 10 or so people. c) Gives everyone the opportunity to get up to speed with group jamming so that when a bar venue is sorted, we can guarantee (almost) decent music...

That's great, have a good one.

I hope it goes down well.
Perhaps I should charge commission if it becomes popular ;)

Cool!

I wore this at a show in Berlin once (sorry we didn't hook up that time Nik!) and Stefan Fränke (http://www.ableton.com/people# - 3 down, 2 across) complimented me on it.
Huzzah!

BCR2000, 6 months old, rarely used. £65, London

I no longer have use for my BCR2000. I'll probably regret selling it, but need the cash as well ;) It is in good - very good condition due to only occasional home use. Still in original packaging with manuals etc. I'll supply a disc of relevant files I built up while trying it out with Live and Trak...

Beatport do a decent one.

Search for 'Beatport.com Burners' in the Podcasts directory in iTunes.

Just try & ignore the woman spelling their URL at the end of the 'cast!

Re: lemur

yes there are weak things about the lemur: it's very graphical oriented... and music isn't very graphical . this statement is very surprising. what do you mean by music isnt "graphical"? For me, sounds cannot be dissociated from shapes and colours. and for that matter, i think the l...

Re: lemur

http://www.yikers.com/video_sound_vibration_creates_awesome_images.html That's all good, but how exactly was it done? Where is the relation between the waveform (music) and the moving powder/ iron filings or whatever (shapes)? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sY6z2hLgYuY http://www.youtube.com/watch?...
