I am trying out some new studio monitors, and I am not sure how accurate I am hearing. Would anyone be interested in giving me some feedback on my levels / mix? I think the vocals may be too loud / out front...

Budget Mixing/Mastering
I'm looking for someone interested in mixing and mastering at a budget rate. (e.g., sending Ableton file via the internet). I'm currently looking for an option at Fiverr.com, but not sure what to do. My budget is very limited. Any ideas?

No shaking bass
I have a quiet acoustic bass on a track and it rattles minivan speakers even at low volumes. What can I do to fix that? I have a few ideas, but thought I'd ask the pros.

Re: Exporting Audio Problem
Audacity, iTunes, and SoundCloud.
The only cumbersome fix so far :
Export at 48k, open on Audacity, convert to 44k.
But that adds a lot of unnecessary time and with large projects, time matters.

Exporting Audio Problem
Audio sounds fine within Ableton. Audio was recorded at 48k.
When I export audio, it raises the pitch and increases the speed. This happens whether I choose 48k or 44k.
I have been working on this for hours, trying different combinations, so I am pretty frustrated.
Any ideas? Any help would be ...

Sample Rate Problem
I have ONE project that seems to have a sample rate problem. It's a big problem because I cannot export any audio.
Everything was sounding great, but somehow, now everything plays too fast and with a higher pitch. Initially, it was just when exporting. Now, it happens with playback as well.

Yeah, there appears to be MIDI data.
Yeah, it's a synth.
Thanks for helping!

Re: Push & MIDI Keyboard
Yeah, that's what I doing, but when I do...
1) It works for the most part.
2) Some notes on the keyboard do not trigger any sounds.
3) Some notes trigger the green lights (but no sounds) on the Push.

Push & MIDI Keyboard
Is it possible to use a Push and MIDI keyboard at the same time? I assume so, but it's been crazy so far...
I am using a Novation 49SL MkII. When I try using both, the keyboard triggers notes on the Push (lighting up the pads), and part of the MIDI (e.g., one octave) does not work at all.

Thanks. That's what I figured...
So if I wanted a way around that, should I convert the MIDI to audio? Is that the best way to do it?

Kontakt with Ableton & Logic
Here's the scenario:
My Kontakt library is way too large to keep on a MacBook Air, so I have it stored on an external hard drive.
Question:
Once I use those samples in Ableton or Logic to record a track, will they be saved within the file so I can disconnect my hard drive?

Re: Broken tweeter on Alesis M1 Active Mk2 speaker.
How did you diagnose the broken tweeter? Was the volume less than the other speaker?
I thought mine broke, but then the volume came back for a few months. I've left them off for a few months, and now no volume again.
Well, I have 50% volume or so. It's very odd that it would start working then not ...

Re: Live 9 Studio +/- Komplete 7
Yeah, sorry about that. I was tired and meant Suite (not Studio). Thanks for catching that.
By "variation is the name of the game," do you mean combining sounds so that they sound original? (And not so every recording sounds like it was recorded in Live?)

Re: Live 9 Studio +/- Komplete 7
It depends on time. I usually start with stock sounds (close to what I'd like), then modify and add effects. I like creating my own sounds, but time is usually the deciding factor.
I'm actually coming from Reason, where I did a bit more adjusting of sounds. I was pretty impressed by the strings of ...

Live 9 Studio +/- Komplete 7
I don't have have Push yet, but I'm wondering what you all think...
If I have the full package (Live 9 Studio), do you think that Komplete 7 is overkill?
I've heard that the Live sounds are better integrated with Push. At the same time, I've heard that Komplete has better sounds overall.
