No doubt Maschine pads are better (I've never used padkontrol), but the MPD pads are pretty damn good after the upgrade. Sometimes they're TOO sensitive, so I end up turning down the threshold/sensitivity setting. The only gripe I have is that the corners don't register consistently. I probably won'...

I couldn't find anything like MP3Tag on OSX, but scripts on here have been enough for me. Being able to do everything on iTunes is also a plus.
