Re: Looper question for the experts out there
just map the one foot controller that you want to stop all the loopers to the small stop button on each looper (as mentioned in the previous post) which is located above the large multi button. not sure why you guys are suggesting to use bome, etc. there is no reason to. if that foot controller send...

Re: Quantizing Looper in useable way / Quantize MIDI to Looper?
Roland FC-300 is a great controller but with a free app called MIDI PIPE you can get many midi foot controllers to work if they don't send the right messages, use the other free app MIDI Monitor to figure out where the problem lies. Looper quantization: since the original discussion I figured out a ...

Resolved crashing while using Amplitube 3
hi guys. i've also been frustrated by all the crashing but have had success lately. I've updated to the latest versions of both Ableton Live Suite and Amplitube 3. I do not have any crashes. I did upgrade to 8gigs ram recently on my macbook pro (i7 running lion latest updates). you didn't accidental...

Re: assigning multiple midi notes to a button
what is the command? I still haven't been able to do it again.
For example, if I want to assign multiple midi notes to the same looper button. When you go to map the additional note the old one gets replaced.

Re: How do I limit the arming of multiple midi tracks?
J, actually my mistake, the instructions I posted were for altering the default Ableton behavior of arming only one track at a time. but it should have gotten you to the right place in preferences. if you have exclusive: arm activated then when you click the controller's button for arming the track ...

assigning multiple midi notes to a button
when I was programming my midi foot pedal at some point multiple notes were assigned to one button. great new feature, but I don't know how I did it since it was unintentional and when I deleted the mapping I couldn't do it again. what is the command? for example two different midi notes were assign...

Re: Quantizing Looper in useable way / Quantize MIDI to Looper?
like you mention, your way has some setup issues. but if it works well for you, obviously keep going with it. From your description it seems complicated for live performance. I used to have a boss rc-50 for a short while before I discovered ableton live. I got my idea from how the rc-50 is setup. Th...

Re: Quantizing Looper in useable way
here's a different method, I don't know if it solves everything you are trying to do...but I've run into similar issues live looping guitar. for other guitarists out there, you need a foot controller able to send multiple midi messages with one foot pedal hit. basically the trick is to have all loop...

Ableton Kits vs VSTs like Superior Drummer
I purchased Superior Drummer 2 from toontrack.
i also have the toontrack fibes kit that you can download from ableton.
superior drums are very realistic, especially with the presets.
has anyone been able to get the same results from ableton natively?

Re: Can you switch Kontakt 4 instruments from Ableton Live?
using a MPD32 there is a "program change" button that allows you to change instruments in a Kontakt 4 bank directly without having to set up a chain selector. so you can just load a kontakt VST into a track (without clips) and switch instruments using the MPD32's program change button and ...

Re: configure midi foot controller to switch Amplitube presets?
Anyone out there with both Ableton & Amplitube 3 figure out a solution to this problem? The latest version of Amplitube 3 (with the custom shop) seems to be more stable. A few notes: Amplitube 3 in standalone mode -------------------------- If you have a MIDI foot pedal (I have the fc-300) ampli...

Re: Crashes while usin Amplitube 3
on mac...instead of using the VST, you have to use the AU version (audio unit) which in the folder directly above the VST.
that's the current solution from IKMultimedia...instead of fixing the vst bug. but the au is stable and works.

Ableton and Amplitube 3
for all the guitarists out there...
support at IK multimedia suggested using the AU (audio unit) version of the amplitube 3 plugin instead of the VST.
so far no crashes.
give it a try if you are an amplitube user. If you haven't bought it yet, I would wait for them to really fix the problem first.
