Re: Any tips for moving from session to arrangement view?
SHIFT + COMMAND + SAVE (different name, same project folder) then have it, you earned it playa!! Obviously that is another way to do this, but I don't enjoy reloading my set if this takes about a minute or so to complete (mostly due to several Kontakt instances). Kapture Pad works instantly, so you...

Thanks a lot for your kind feedback!DangarStu wrote:Hi Adrian
I really liked both your tracks on SoundCloud. I'm only a relative beginner with Live myself so I'm sorry I can't offer any specific advice, but I do know what I like and I think your songs are pretty good!

Re: Any tips for moving from session to arrangement view?
Thanks a lot guys, that definitely helps me. One other thing I learned since I wrote this article: Kapture Pad ( http://liine.net/en/products/kapturepad/ ) is really useful for finding the right settings to tweak because it allows me to mess around with settings without having to be afraid about per...

Electro House Track - Am I doing this right?

Re: Making the transition from session to arrangement view
What I tend to do is play the scenes into the arrangement and then switch to the arrangement view to work on the transitions. I suppose you meant playing the scenes in session view and then moving on to arrangement for the transitions. I am doing this too, but right now I am not really using any of...

Any tips for moving from session to arrangement view?
Hi, I usually have no problem creating several nice sounding scenes in session view, but I am struggling with making the transition to arrangement view. Basically I can do everything I need via mouse and keyboard, but this is too slow for me to maintain a creative state of mind. If I just trigger th...

Re: Midi map sustain pedal to "overdub"?
Thanks for the hint, Dragonbreath. The problem was indeed that I had not enabled the "remote" setting.

Midi map sustain pedal to "overdub"?
Hi, I have a dirt cheap sustain pedal connected to my Novation Remote SL 25 MK2 controller. How can I map the pedal to the overdub button? I tried midi mapping it as usual (entere midi mapping mode, click on overdub button, step on sustain pedal), but no mapping takes place. What am I doing wrong? I...

Recommendation for Win 7 x64 Sound card ?
Hi, I'm looking for a internal sound card or external sound interface with the following features: - Runs stable with Live 8 on Windows 7 x64 - Latency <=10 ms - Has input suitable for a Guitar and a Microphone (not necessarily at the same time) - Price <= 130 EUR I've already tried the following (w...

Re: Regular touchscreen vs. Launchpad
I wouldn't compare the LP to a touch screen or a drum pad. why does the OP write that they're about the same but goes onto say he'd get a Lemur? what is the same price as a LP? The price for a touch screen is about the same as the price of a Launchpad. A lemur is in fact a combination of a computer...

Re: Regular touchscreen vs. Launchpad
@turrican: I already have a padKontrol, so I can play beats with that. Is there anything else you would like to have velocity for? @ShelLuser: What small green arrows are you talking about? And how could looking at those tiny glowing rectangles on an APC give you a better overview of what you are lo...

Regular touchscreen vs. Launchpad
Hi, Launchpad looks nice, but for those who already have a drum pad controller and are only interested in producing, wouldn't it be more useful to buy a touch-enabled computer screen instead? The price is almost the same. I know Live doesn't support multitouch, but even without multitouch it seems w...
