Re: Gradual changes in Tempo from Scene to Scene?
thanks for the reply chapeller. i SO agree that we should control scenes a little bit like Clips. espeacially for artful tempo changes. so this IAC/midiyoke solution would be to get a clip to shoot out a midi stream that controls global tempo? it sounds a little scary in a mission-critical, live sit...

Gradual changes in Tempo from Scene to Scene?
is there a way to fire a Scene in Session Mode and have the Global Tempo change GRADUALLY and not instantly? i can do this in Arrange drawing automation in the Master Track. but how can i have Live make a less-than-instant Tempo change Scene to Scene in Session? (this would also help avoid glitches ...

tempo accelerando automation in Session View
i know you can change the master tempo scene by scene, and use it happily.
but is there a way, in session view, to to fire a Scene and have the tempo -gradually- accelerate
or slow from the current tempo to another tempo?
(maybe in a dummy clip kind of way?)

what are the things that cause pops?
i get pops glitches and spikes on my sets occasionally, on scene changes. i've tried upping the buffer, with limited success.. (i'll try higher..) in general, when you get pops and spikes, what causes them and what are the go-to fixes. it seems my reverb channels can be a culprit, does opening up an...

Re: 8.04 (suite) crashes constantly!!!
Ok. i seemed to have solved MY problem..
turns out Live 8 (not Live 7) has a conflict with Unsanity's APE and WindowShade.
(maybe it's just Windowshade, haven't fine-combed it yet..)

Re: 8.04 (suite) crashes constantly!!!
i rely on Live heavily but have had to stick with v7 because ever since the 8.0 beta it's crashed fairly rapidly, within a few minutes after booting it on my MacBookPro. it's been a few months since Live 8 launched and i thought it would be solved by now, and i'm very much game to upgrade by now, bu...

Re: Plug Ins Flashing Wildly
hi Jörg. thank you for getting back to me. i've been busy working (with Live) so i hadn't had a chance to look on the furum. your suggestion sounds very promising. i will probably get to try it soon. this may also help with the relatively frequent crashes i've bee experiencing.. will disable midi in...

Plug Ins Flashing Wildly
some of my plugins, haven't really noticed a pattern as to which: usually not reverb or the EQs, but can be Ableton native or third party, FLASH CRAZILY (a strobe-like effect) when i drop them in. alot of the time this involves the plugin ON/OFF button (top left) and seemingly random other controls ...

Re: editing audio recorded in live
i'm going to delve into Live as Editor this evening. good to get some feedback and some key command tips! yup. IN the cave.. and around it. it's a bit technically spooky, as there's no electrical power. we're researching generators or battery powered stuff.. i would LOVE to put a subwoofer deep insi...
