problem solved: Apples site offered a "Live 5.2 intel universal binary demo, but the file still was the first version of live 5 demo.. And im not the only one who got serously worried bout a new computer purchase: Live "5.2" was the the number one download on apples page.. :D

now its funny, but ...

i have the exact same problem, i just got my imac yesterday with 2 gig ram, so it shouldnt be about the power..

i loaded the ableton live 5.2 demo (universal-binary) and the demosong crackles like crazy when the drums kick in.

i feel frustrated, is this a demo problem or a bigger issue??!?
