I don't think there is a way to prevent it from doing that though there should be. but if you freeze and flatten and then put the loop brackets and start end points to the part you want to keep then you can right click and select "crop" and you'll be left with the area you won't only. thi...

Deep Freeze/Flatten Question

Whenever I deep freeze and flatten a set if clips, the result is ALWAYS a set of clips at double the length of the original clips. Is there any way to prevent the flattening from doing this? I'm trying to cut my MP3's from beatport into loops, but I dont want this double-looping to occur. I understa...

I've been using my microkontrol again more since it was added to the device list. The pads on the sl seem hard, sometiimes unresponsive, and impractically located (though I admit I am used to the MK grid). It does seem that they break in well. I strongly suggest at least a 37. Or, a 0 with an axiom...

yet another remote SL question...lol

Ive heard the pads really suck on the SL, but just how bad are they, and for what reasons? Too small? Not responsive enough? Are they any worse than the Trigger Finger? I have a trigger finger now and am thinking about selling it off for an SL37 or an axiom 49. I personally prefer the layout of the ...

nah it isnt too complex because you can still work with the newer versions in the same ways as you can in the earlier versions, if you were so inclined.

Midi Copy and paste problem in Session View

Here's the problem. Everytime I copy a set of notes from one midi clip, and paste them in another, they get pasted 2 beats behind the first down beat, which would be -1.3

WTF!?!?! I cant seem to find a fix or workaround for this. anyone have a suggestion?

dude get the macbook. dont even waste your time with the powerbook. You'll be disappointed by its performance, and the macbook wipes the floor with the powerpc apple notebooks. Just get at least 1gb of ram. $1099 on student discount...you cant go wrong! BTW, I run Logic and Live on it, sometimes bot...

sometimes the UI is TOO minimal. The midi notes displayed in the piano roll whilst editing a midi clip are too thin, and are difficult to get your mouse pointer on. Folding the notes isnt always an option, esp. while you are trying to audition different pitches for a particular chord. You'll highlig...
