Re: Mastered file clipping master channel but not other DAWS?

Even a cut with an EQ produces a small boost around the cutoff frequency. For a high pass filter it's typically above the cut off, for a low pass typically it's below the cutoff. This is true for almost any EQ, not just Live's. Thanks for your help, yes I remember reading that and know it's not an ...

Re: Mastered file clipping master channel but not other DAWS?

Turn off warping on the song after you drag it into Live. Ha, I checked but it's definitely not on. (I've set it to not warp long samples) I've figured out what the issue is. I've an EQ8 on each channel by default - with a high pass at 30hz. For some reason - this seems to boost things up to...

Mastered file clipping master channel but not other DAWS?

Hi all, Seeking some knowledge - I've recently had some tracks mastered but it's clipping the channel and master fader by a large amount - +2.37dB. Other mastered files either hit 0dB or peak slightly above at 0.18dB. I then tried my mastered tracks in Studio One - but they stay under 0dB (I think -...

Re: New Original Song - "Midcentury Modern" done in Live

Congrats on the track, had a listen there, wasn't sure what it was going to turn out like, must have taken ages to nail that many styles/production mixing styles! Must have been a lot of fun. Was it a single session?? Or did you mix individually then bounce and join? It's one thing to mix everything...

Sample Rate and Pitch Change confusion with Live bounce

Ive been experimenting bumping up the sample rate of my projects - and Im getting really strange unlikely results. I usually run at 48000hz. I tried a project with a single synth, and ran at 96000hz. Bounced the audio to disk down to 41000. Did the same again except ran the project in 44100 and boun...

Got a significant speed boost on osx....

Dunno if this will work for anybody else, but if youve noticed your version of osx getting sluggish as time goes by (Im on mountain lion), reindexing my drive gave me a huge speed boost. There must be a bug somewhere. Initially spotlight wasnt indexing right (unrelated to the slower and slower progr...

Measuring the structural integrity and resonance frequency of a safe?? That's where my moneys going. :)

That, or shattering a wine glass! Resonance frequencies?

Is command shift s not still "Save Live Set As"? Or did they change it? 'Save a Copy...' is the one we need.

Re: Hints for Live 8 longevity - feature shortcuts and autosave!

and also it still doesn't work... autosave activated comes up.. but no actual saves are performed Also 3dot - I forgot - does 'Save a Copy...' have a default hotkey in Live 9? If it does, then you can skip the 'control+cmd+s' part and can modify the hotkey in the script to the hotkey in Live. Id do...

Re: Hints for Live 8 longevity - feature shortcuts and autosave!

EDIT: AHA, this could be the real problem, try this first - go to system prefs/accessibility and tick 'enable access for assisted devices'. I had forgotten I had enabled this when I first started using applescript. This allows applescript to communicate to 'system events' Ill put it in post one. Did...
