thanks, but i found another thread and managed to figure it out. A couple files, i think driver files, were named wrong and so when I renamed them correctly it was recognized easily.

I haven't reinstalled the driver but I got it so there are at least input options, but it says "USB Device" and when I activate that it shows "APC40(USB DEVICE)" under MIDI ports and the only option for output is "Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth" which when activated puts "APC40 (Microsoft GS..etc ...

I am using a Dell Precision M20 computer with Ableton 8.0.4. My problem is that Ableton seems to not recognize my APC 40.
