Re: STILL NO COMPING?!
While this is a good work-around for "getting the perfect audio take" via editing in the Arrange View, the Bitwig method of "Post Recording Action/Record into next free Slot" in the Session View is more of a "getting the perfect 'live' audio take" via Clip Slots, which may or may not be of the same ...

Re: Set audio clip loop length BEFORE recording!!!!!!!
I am wondering if this has been implemented in Live10's Session View?tjspurge wrote:...there should be a function to overdub audio clips and to pre-define the length of audio clips.

Re: STILL NO COMPING?!
What more would a comp tool do?
All DAW's can do what is shown in the video, in their Arrangement/Linear View.
But as the strong suit in Live is the Session View, this is where I would want to do the comping...both midi and audio... automatic recording into the next slot at each completed clip ...

8.4b9 doesn't but will L9 allow vst's in Rewire-slave mode?
I am wondering if this is unique to Live or Rewire-slaves in general. Without the use of vst's, it seems that the use of Rewire is very limited. (In 8.4b9 it is not possible).

Re: Midi Slices to Individual Audio Clips?
Well, for me, I think this is the answer. Perhaps after working with Live for a while, I'll revisit this thread and see if I can make anymore headway.funken wrote:...Of course it's much easier to just chop it up in Arrange and drag the clips over.

Re: Midi Slices to Individual Audio Clips?
...drag each chain into Clip Drop Area.
I have tried this but I don't get individual audio clips for each slice.
To clarify, where there is say, 4 Midi Clips resulting after "slicing to midi" and the Chain View lists Slice 1, Slice 2..., do you mean drag each "midi slice/clip" in the Chain View ...

Re: Midi Slices to Individual Audio Clips?
Thanks. I should have guessed it would be via audio.
Is there a "Split At All Transients within Track/Selection Area" when there are many transient markers?

Midi Slices to Individual Audio Clips?
Hi - very new to Live (8)...for an app that started out as audio, the midi is exceptional.
I had a short audio track with 5 Warp Markers and applied Slice to New Midi Track, creating a new midi track containing 4 midi slices and each play their respective audio clip.
I want to be able to get these ...

Moving Resource folder to a different drive
I just installed 8.3 and would like to move the Live Devices (Analog, Collision, etc) to another drive. Is this possible? I was able to move the Library and in Preferences, set the new location, but I am not sure about moving the Resources\DefaultPackages folder.
