yesterday i bought ableton live, its really good prog.
a friend came to my house with his bcr 2000, it was absolutely no problem to control track volume and other things with it.
but then i wanted to program it to control vanguard, but not using lives learn function, because i need it on ...

im new to ableton, COSM-live-at-unity2006.mp3 is live recorded?
you did this all in one set?
then you gotta explain to me how your able play such a large set, is it all loaded into live at startup or how is this done?

yes but i mean, i want this feature in the piano roll without using the synth glide function because its different to each synth
when you look at fruity loops, its long time ago but i think you can mark notes in the piano roll to slide
and only the notes you want to slide not all

its like pitching from one note to the other.
other sequenzer have this feature called slide,
many synths call it glide, whatever.
you write something in the pianoroll, then you can decide which notes you want to slide.

before i buy live i need to know, is it possible to perform a note slide in the piano roll?

yeah man i also wanna work in session mode, this is more like playin music,
all other sequenzers and arrangement mode is more like programming.
i think its good that you can assign colors and name things in live,
think so you can keep it from beeing a mess.
you just have to get your self a concept ...

and this is controled via midiloopback?

okok last question, follow actions, follow actions can only be set in one track?
it is not possible that the follow action of one clip is: launch next scene ...

doesnt work man, doesnt work.

had a scene full of clips, 8 tracks everyone was containing one clip, removed stop buttons, BUT all clips in the scene launched.
so what im doing wrong?
maybe as you all own live just try it and tell me if it works

ye man your right, excuse me for perhaps spamming this board, but im at work now, demo is home, and i cant get the question out of my head..
so you say when the stop buttons are removed those clips arent affected when i trigger a whole scene in master track ima try this..
what about linking two ...

as you know i dont own live yet, just want to know what is possible.

is it possible to link track 1 with track2, so that when i trigger a clip in track 1 also the responding clip in track 2 is triggered automatically?

i have another question...
when i click on start in the master track to start a whole scene, is it possible that one track of the scene doesnt start its clip?
i mean the track has to be turned on but the clip its containing doesnt start, so i can start it manually later without have to turn it on ...

oh, sorry, then i stop complaining,
i only saw it at a friends studio, and it seemed to me like it was limited..
