What I did was downloaded reason 5 demo and record 1.5 demo. Use record rewired into live as there is no time limit and you have access to all the reason synths, effects etc.

I like the apc40 and the mpk49. They're solid and not overly expensive. The only problem I find is their faders etc, share code somewhere. So somethings can't be mapped solely to one or the other. There are ways around it and I'm sure someone will post after this the solution but if you're (or he's)...

Wow! Such a quick response! Thanks heaps man. I think the clicker thing would be easiest, we're using steady cams the whole time I think. So not sure if the excess cables into the cam would be a good idea for this one, definitely good for the next film though. As long as I don't touch the tempo etc,...

I'm doing sound recording for a friends grad piece in a few weeks and was looking to use ableton to do all the recording. The school is supplying the mics and boom etc. so I don't see there being any problems as far as the actual recording goes. But I am a noon when it comes to this kind of stuff. (...
