i'll be buying a pc laptop in about a month and currently use mac. except for live i have no complaints about the mac and am not looking forward to windows driver crap but since Live is currently my main DAW and the 970's are still a half a year away realistically in the laptops i might as well buy ...

yeah its not quite as exciting as no rewire so no way to get the audio recorded into live.

i can get about 15 to 20 tracks playing at once with some eq effects and whatnot (not reverb) before it can become sluggish using a G4QS 733 mhz.

yes, i use live exclusively and wouldn't think twice about it if i could take advantage of au/vsti's and an eraser tool but am hoping apple releases a mini-daw which would have these or a au/vsti rewire host.

i am running 10.2.2 i believe and am able to play about 16 clips at once before funky stuff starts happening (around 35%, some effects usually eq). i record all my own samples into live either by instrument or by rewire. i have experienced a couple of bugs: 1) the recover save does not work, crashes...
