About the freeze on the Powerbook with many cc
It's the same for me on my Powerbook 867.
It is 30 or 40% on the CPU control but if you load the activity monitor app (in the utility folder) you can check that the processor is over.

I use Powercore firewire with Live. It's ok but if you compare with Logic you don't have the same performances. In a normal way, each plug take 15-20% CPU with Live on a PB800 with Motu 828. You can have more performances but you feel the latency (in the plugz chaining particularly) if you adjust th...
