So how do you explain then that Thomann in Germany has all the other Akai Pro stuff for pretty much the same prices as online in the USA? It even includes VAT. First of all, I did say that my prior post was all based on speculation, so I wasn't trying to be a smartass, man. But, if memory serves me...

Let's get it right Willyum - The cooler, modern term is FANBOY, not 'yes man' !! And the above was posted in case you didn't know that information - Grappadura's info (good call man) is not a new feature in L8, it exists in L7 too. Ok, you handled me picking a fight with you pretty good, so.....

Re: Live 8: Finally "warp" feature added to sampler?

Hey folks aka beta testers, just wanted to know if the abes finally added the long missed "warp" feature to the sampler in Live 8. This would turn sampler into a sampler for me  Thanks for any info Why don't you warp the sample anyway you want to in the normal way and then use the s...

Re: Enough about the price already!

This is a great thread, except for all of this carping about the price. It costs what it costs, if you don't like it, don't buy it. Stuff costs more in Europe for all kinds of reasons, mostly because generally Europeans are used to paying more for stuff, and do; but partly because of higher taxes, ...

i don´t work much with return tracks inboard, at least not the way that i would need real control over it. people should get away, that everything has the total priority at the same time, and that a controller would be something like a 3 d abstract (of their ableton live) they could dive in and be ...

except that it's an mpc thread. I was looking for one with a guy playing jazz drums on an older drum machine, it was brown IIRC, looked more like a calculator than a drum machine. instead I found these... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0jLWHKS02LI&NR=1&fmt=18 <-- Aswell-live mpc work- "...

Lookin back at the FlyLo clip, I can't help but thinking that it sounds real tight, and yet, everyone's always talking about latency using Live vs MPC. No doubt MPC has less latency, but damn, I sure wouldn't be able to tell listening to Fly Lo jam. That Exile clip was incredible. His skills are inc...

Don't get me wrong, I love Lotus's music, but what's the big deal about that as a performance? I caught him a few months ago here in chicago, and 90% of his set was other people's music (the track linked above isn't even him, it's soundmurderer). seriously, we can all aim a little higher for live s...

Exactly - and with M4L we can just build one of those directly within Live.

could you explain a little more steve-o like what? :) hi o0o, If you check out GURU (and it's "progeny", BPM, and MASCHINE, to a lesser extent), you'll notice that the heart of those programs is the sequencing engine. My plan is to essentially copy that sequencing engine and integrate it ...

I just watched the whole demo video. It is pretty impressive. Live 8 will do most of what it can do. I just want the 15 GB library. Yeah, it was pretty impressive. My first project with L8 and M4L was to close the GURU sequencer / engine section and integrate that with Live. I'm thinking I could do...

Ableton should be quick and swoop this guy up. He looks like he's still a student (at Harvard, judging by the email addy). If they could integrate this into Live, it would seriously be game over.

The whole philosophy behind Vestax is not to make cheap, flim flam equipment. Their gear does not compromise. In this market, we are used to compromise. We have come to expect cut corners and low prices. Behringer won't stop until they finally create a product that costs $0.00 USD. The VCM600 is go...
