thanks for the reply, yes I figured it out, there is the "Max API Ctrl MIDI Note" tool which does exactly what I was thinking latency is not exactly ideal, but it works for the time being

Yep, crashing every time when I'm closing the project in which I have it running.
My system is Windows 7, Intel i7 2. something GHz.

Sounds great but ... crashesh Ableton without exception.

yeah, I agree with that. The LPC script is a part solution but it's again awkward, since you have to change the global quantize setting to, say 4 bars. Which means that if you go back to triggering clips you'd have to switch again to one bar.

I also feel Push is a big blast for the APC. For me the biggest advantages are 1) the colored pads on Push - I get really confused when I have more than 15 clips visible on the session grid 2) velocity sensitive pads I am still not really seeing myself replacing my normal workflow for production, mo...
