Allow Automation of Clip Transposition to be Recorded
Hi there, I'm really hopeful that this can be added. I record audio clips and loop them in real time. It's so nice and easy to immediately manipulate the transposition of a clip with the Push, for instance this produces lovely effects on clips recorded from electric drum kit and other percussion. It...

Re: Clip play position
+ 1 from me.
This is a sorely lacking feature. I want to be able to manipulate clips in real time, for instance to record a loop and then duplicate it, looping just a section of the original to make a different song section. This should be easily achievable.

Re: Recommend bags for Push&Laptop
I just got this and can heartily recommend it: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000VOC90Y/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Easily and securely fits the Push plus laptop, soundcard, small mixing desk, microphone, headphone and cables. My laptop is 14 inch Lenovo Thinkpad. There is room...

Re: Glasgow!!!!
Greetings fellow wegies. Very interested in any Ableton meet-up type geek-tastic shenanigans. Simon, might get in touch about some tuition at some point. I'm using Ableton as a platform for recording and live looping with guitars and vocals and the like. Still just scratching the surface though... S...

Re: Midi mapping. Midi channels being ignored
OK, I figured it out and it turns out I was just being a complete fool! I somehow managed to map the master scene launch buttons to several keys on the x-station, so when I played a synth part it would (in my my perception randomly) launch clips which I knew I'd mapped to different pedals. I proceed...

Re: Midi mapping. Midi channels being ignored
Hi Palmer, Thanks for the potential lead and for the explanation. However, the two devices were definitely sending midi notes on different channels. This was apparent from the list of mid mappings, which clearly state the channel number in the first column. Since I had this problem it has actually n...

Re: Midi mapping. Midi channels being ignored
Hi Palmer,
Thanks for the thought. I'll check it out when I'm next at home. Not totally sure of the difference between midi port and channel so that's definately a possibility!

Re: Midi mapping. Midi channels being ignored
Hi Dave, Indeed I am sending midi note messages from the fcb. Still my hope was that a control mapped to a midi note on channel 2 would not be triggered by the same midi note on a different channel. Surely that's what midi channels are for? If I go through the dull process of programming every pedal...

Re: Midi mapping. Midi channels being ignored
Hi David, Thanks for your reply. To clarify, the problem is not with Midi Tracks, it is with Midi Mapping. All tracks in my set are audio tracks. Can you confirm that a command (for instance play) mapped to note E1 on channel 1 should only be triggered by the note E1 on channel 1 and not by the note...

Midi mapping. Midi channels being ignored
Hi there and thanks in advance for any help! I am using Ableton 8 with my X-Station and Behringer FCB1010. The FCB sends Midi notes on Channel 2. The X-Station sends Midi Notes on Channel 1. I have mapped notes from the Behringer FCB1010 to trigger various samples. My problem is that when I'm trying...

Re: Deleting Unplayable Instruments
Update: It worked. Repairing the library took an astonishing amount of time (about 5 hours) however all the instruments now work as they should.
Hoorah. and cheers for the advice.

Deleting Unplayable Instruments
Hi there, and thanks in advance for taking the time to read this. I have just bought Live 8.2 and am getting to grips with it. An Annoyance is that there seem to be lots of Instruments which are linked to components such as Analog or Tension which come with Ableton Suite (which I don't have). I can'...
