I've been using Ableton for about 15-20 years now, and for 15+ years I've used the same audio interface and mic - I've been looking to upgrade, and having recently gotten a new MacBook, it's time.

No idea what was the OP's issue, but the audio interface is also part of the Controller version. It's actually a controller with builtin audio and midi interface.

UPDATE: It seems to me that the issue is that my Live Browser isn't acknowledging my Live 8 (suite) library, though the sounds are there when I open projects that contain them.. I'm aware that it could be my folder setup, but when I try and point Live 9 to my Live 8 Library in the Library tab in ...

do you still have a Live 8 library as well? Is it only the Live library, not VST sound libraries taking up all the space? You should be able to check how much it takes up in your windows machine (which I would have recommended before getting a new machine) then compare that to the available space ...
