Re: Tip: Easiest way to use Melodyne in Ableton -> Sample Editor
Great tip. Which version of Melodyne are you using (thinking of taking the plunge)?

Re: Drumrack/Simpler filter bug? key tracking bug?
I did contact support after posting my issue here. Ableton support recommended a reset (delete prefrences, undo history and templates). Haven't been able to replicate the issue since resetting. Also installed the latest update (11.05) so not sure if that helped at all? Either way I don't appear to b...

Re: Drumrack/Simpler filter bug? key tracking bug?
Having random problems with the filter in Simpler too. Crappy video quality but shows the issue. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1It6RhofLA9BcbFBc8U9V2Z_FetcGAPYD/view?usp=sharing Kick and snare samples loaded into 1st & 2nd slot of drum rack. Simpler filter on Kick works as expected. Simpler fi...

Re: Time & Timbre loses Push surface
I had the same issue back in 2018 ... still a problem.
Had contacted Skinnerbox about it and they said they would try to get to it with the next update but I never heard anything.
They put it down to "Windows can be a bit notorious"! Are you on Windows or MacOS?

Re: MaxforLive 10/Push 2/parameters
I should learn to try first, ask later. Answered my own question in about 30 seconds  For anyone else asking ... If your mapping live.dials to the Push and just dealing with the one bank this is all I had to do. 1. add the live.banks object to your device in the editor 2. lock the device 3. do...

Re: MaxforLive 10/Push 2/parameters
In L10, you need to use the live.banks object. Hi jur, for a relative newb to M4L can you explain a little how this works. I didn't find the live.banks documentation very helpful (I'm sure that's my ignorance, not the docs fault). I have a device that I previously created in L9 that has 4 mapped li...

I wouldn't know what to do with them if I had them!miyaru wrote:Trackcount is mostly a thing of the speed and accestime of a drive. Proberly you have a 4200rpm drive in your laptop, which was common back then..... Be patient, save money for a nice new laptop, and you are good to go with many tracks!!!!

Re: CPU use L9 vs L10
Or you could just do as miyaru suggested and download the beta.8E wrote:Anyone willing to make a benchmark and put on YT?
Appreciated.
I was up and running with it in 10mins. Best to test on your own system anyway.

Re: CPU use L9 vs L10
The real test is adding test tracks until audio crackles. No need to gauge any meters. True ... If I cared that much  Just needed to check it wasn't all going to come to a crashing halt by upgrading. I'm comfortable enough with my very non-scientific testing to know I'll be ok until I can upd...

Re: CPU use L9 vs L10
If anyone is interested ... Live 10 seems to be running pretty well on my old Dell (a measly 1.8GHz dual-core i7). Old projects seem to run about the same in both Live 9 and 10 ... it's a bit hard to gauge because the CPU meter does jump around a bit but I think that's just this laptop. Haven't had ...

Thanks jestermgee.
Improved performance .. that sounds promising.
Wonder if any other beta testers have mere mortal setups like mine?

CPU use L9 vs L10
Sorry for the double post. I asked this question on the system requirements thread but maybe no-one is looking at that anymore. Can any of the beta testers give their thoughts on CPU usage with Live 10 compared to Live 9? I'm on an older Windows laptop at the moment and am not going to be able to up...

Re: Live 10 System Requirements ... can't find anywhere.
Can any of the beta testers comment on CPU use in 10 compared to Live 9?
I'm on an older Win10 laptop right now and won't be updating that until later in the year. Wondering if I should put off upgrading to 10 until then too?
