dude...before live 9 gets released....i would love if all these damn crashes are fixed. Fixing these crashes are way more valuable to me than new features.

+ 1 on the Echo Audiofire. The are tiny, and mine has been great. If u have lots of extra $$ there is the duet2 from apogee too. Boss products are great when you don't care about your audio, I have a dd-7 then when you plug it before a guitar amp, you notice your guitar has lost all of its' life.

+1 for multiband compression. Just select the frequencies that the hats reside in (you can use a spectrum analyzer) and clamp down on them, you will notice the hi hats are now lower in volume but the drum loop doesn't sound "cut into"

what do y'all think about the Focusrite Sapphire 14? its about 200 bucks, firewire, and small. Does anyone know if you can separate cue outs?

hmm...i'm looking over ebay, lowest one is about 250...nice. Thanks, Tarekith for the suggestion.

Anything else you guys recommend? I'm looking for a couple options.

Any recommendations?

Needs:
1.)separate headphone outs...for DJing and Cuing....A MUST!!!
2.)Firewire 400
3.)Inexpensive, preferably about $300

The new Maschine update (1.7) messed up the controller MIDI control IMO. I updated, and once I did, my Maschine won't send MIDI (only as a controller, it works perfectly with Maschine software) to ableton without a restart of my computer. weird, and, annoying.
