or buy one of the lenovo's that doesnt come with Vista - Im about to get one with XP professional installed instead of Vista! Its an R61i i think, just take a look down the list of products and see if you can find one with xp!

I love the link but the browser load thing (press l to arm the slot) just doesnt work for me.. any ideas why? i have turned off the keyboard as a midi keyboard function within live but it doesnt work - hitting l doesnt focus on the browser either :S

Lenovo Thinkpad adapter

I'm looking at getting a Lenovo Thinkpad, and on the site im looking at it says that a thinkpad power adaptor is £40.. can i use any other power adaptor or is this the only solution?

I bought a Freecom ToughDrivePro and its 250Gb and bus powered, with a socket for an external power adaptor if youve overloaded the USB power.. Its great and pretty cheap, I got mine for around £100, don't know how much it is in the US/Europe though.
