Re: New Ableton User
There's really nothing better about soundcloud unless you plan on paying. The community is not that great and you can only do so much. There is a nice interface but why are you telling him to use soundcloud? Upload your music wherever you want, everywhere you want, the audience will be different wit...

Re: Creating a controller script for Ableton like the APC40?

Re: CHORD VOICING
lol thank you gjm finally someone who i can take serious...so its all about chord inversions huh Inversion is simply a form of chord voicing as well... again, a chord is made of 3 or more tones. Those tones do not have to be linear, and most often as a piano player interacting with other musicians ...

Re: How do I change the pitch but not the tempo of a sample?
Technically... apart from what was already said You can go about it the long way and transpose each note separately and manually unstretch each sound clip back to the same bpm so that it takes up the same length of time and youd still have to mess with the sustain but then you can take each of these...

Re: I don't know the genre... dub/tarncey/trip-hop...
... Can't really define the genre, maybe someone can help? genres suck :D but really limiting an artist to a genre is limiting him as an artist because all of us have different influences that we put together in our own music and we're all tryin to be unique here instead of just putting out the sam...

Re: Using EQ
Why EQ the master at all, why not just go back and adjust the individual tracks as needed? +1 and you could just use EQ eight on each track, it isn't very hard to get the hang of it if you don't know what you're doing. For example, you'd want to cut out the lower frequencies out of your guitar trac...
