Re: Firewire 800-400 causing digital noise in my monitors
Did you try unplugging EVERYTHING except the soundcard itself? Also a quick google search brought up dozens of results with problems concerning the Firebox and digital noise related to Firewire. Also: Bus-Powered or AC ? (-> http://support.presonus.com/entries/118412-firebox-why-can-t-i-bus-power-my...

Re: Alesis io2 headphone troubles
Is the static on headphones only?
The »monitor mix«-knob turned all the way to "USB" ?
Since the headphone output is hardwired to the main-output there couldnt go too much wrong configuration wise.

I'd check "SyncTwoFolders" on Google.
Little piece of Software to keep 2 Folders in sync without copying ALL files over and over again.

Re: Which audio interface for Ableton & MacbookPro?
Others (will) disagree with me, but i suggest avoiding USB and going with something firewire. I totally agree on that. Had bad experiences with USB-Audio devices in the past, especially when playing live. My recommendations are: ESI DuaFire (on the low-end, looks cheap but never disappointed during...

Re: Money : how much do you ask for? How do you do?
Well no, I'm not popular :| so I guess I cannot ask for upfront. It just amaze me how many tracks are released everyday and probably most of them don't generate any benefits. Welcome to the digital age :) The time of fee's/upfront-payments for remixes are long gone as well as most of the advance-pa...

Re: Utility Phase
Ah well, I havent really thought about my reply, I'm sorry. I guess it wont work because the audio part 4 bars ahead is probably slightly different than the one with the vocals... although it sounds more or less the same, the chances that both parts are a 100% identical are rather low except if the ...

Re: Utility Phase
Hello: whereas the audio is the same but it basically just sounds like its phasing (flangey type sound like the dj trick) I guess you need to move one of the clips a very little (or mess around with the track delay), the flanging kind of effect often occurs when one track is off by a certain degree.

Yeah, I love it cause it even makes "noise" on its own, tape-emulation that is.

Oh well, if there was a cat for this picture, it'd probably be dead.

Just wondering: You could as well freeze the Clips/Channels in the Session View and drag the WAV Files from the folder into your DAW.

Re: iPad : best app for replacing a Launchpad? plus general Qs
If it's just for the Clips go with Griid: http://liine.net/griid/en/product.html Their interface is nice and clean and by far not as cluttered as touchAble. Those apps are all fun in a way, but I wouldnt wanna miss the tactile feedback from a hardware controller in the end. As with all apps right no...

Re: Networking Ableton Live & Reason
I doubt thats possible. At least I'm not aware of any working Audio-over-Ethernet solutions for that kind of project.
What you can do however is sending MIDI-over-Ethernet. On Mac, all the tools are already there.
