Christopher Willits using midi pickup and Live.

I've always been curious about MIDI pickups for guitars/basses.
I found this little video pretty interesting.

Veridianis is cool. I like the atmospheric textures with the static in the background.
And how it kind of shorted out at the end. Bzzzzt.

I listened to the first three tracks you have up. I really enjoyed them.
Sent you a friend request too. Keep up the good work.

I'm not from Canada but I grew up in northern Montana, just about 40 miles from the border.
Had to get away from those winters. Traded snow and cold for clouds and rain.

This is great. Those drums in the middle sounded really good.
Nice deep bass but very clear. Great mix. Thanks for sharing.

These are both really nice.
I love the string/plucked sound in Howling Distance.
And the last half of Tire Tracks when the lead comes in and everything starts delaying is really cool.

Thanks again for sharing.

@ polyslax, thanks a lot man. I really appreciate you taking the time to listen and comment. @ jamers, thank you. I do know what I think is good and I love to experiment. I can be my own worst critic. However, I want to keep improving the sound of my tracks and keep learning new things. Sometimes it...

is it the playing style that makes it sound more like a guitar I wonder? It actually does not sound like a guitar to me. I think I used that word because of avatarzero's comment. I also didn't quite know what to call it so I just tried to stay consistent with previous posts. Guess I was just being ...

I really enjoyed Dither. I love the guitar sound as well. Intimate is a good word.
Timeless is another because it sounds like it could have come from long ago.
I also liked your use of vocals. Certainly a direction worth pursuing further.

Thanks dn. I really appreciate the feedback. It is very helpful for me to hear what others pick up from my music. I don't have many friends that really listen to electronic music so I sometimes feel like I'm making these songs in a vacuum, which I know is not good. Getting some opinions from others ...

Wow. Withdrawal and Folly Ditch are very well done.

They all sound great but those two are my favorites.

I liked the two you have up. The changes flow very well. Probably all that time on the boat.

There was a deep bass sound that came in on Yacht that seemed
a little high in the mix but that is the only criticism I have.

Nice work.

F___ It

I posted a new track on myspace. It's kind of an experiment in bass.

Check it out and let me know what you think.
