I use Reason, which has a decent sampled Banjo, with strums and whatnot. I make sure not to quantize things too perfectly, and I also EQ to cut out a lot to give it an old-timey feel. If you want to hear what it sounds like go to my website and check out the music page, "pixel pig title track&q...

Since she's your ex I will say my true thoughts: I like everything but the vox. Good bass, beats, backing sfx. The natural sound of the acoustic solo plays well off the digital stuff. I like the double solo - from acoustic to electric.

That is a really cool site. Are you a music-writer for TV? all those songs seemed very different. I was surprised at the first song, which was very different from the vibe of the website.
