No, it's not curves but that is how you should handle automation dammit.
Live's automation is fucking horrible. S1 handles automation really welk, although there's no proper curves but it still shits on Live and it's halfassed implementation.

Re: finally... BITWIG STUDIO! beta 'soon'...
so basically you're saying that all other daws sucks, because all of them are linear timeline based, and thus can't be originsl because they all follow the same "standard"? Who the fuck even mentioned session view except you so you could come up with some bullshit strawman to rage at? I'm...

Re: finally... BITWIG STUDIO! beta 'soon'...
now, my live is an effects processor and that's it. the rest is studio one... This sounds interesting. What's your workflow like when doing this? Are you using Live as a Rewire master? Rewire yes. Aiming to get an 8/8+ sound card and route everything to live, and output ot from live to another soun...

Re: Live 9 browser NIGHTMARE !!!
... So would something like what others have suggested not be possible, the solution where at least in the places section you could immediately show all files but continue indexing them in the background to show up in the browser and searches? That way you get the best of both worlds, the user does...

Re: finally... BITWIG STUDIO! beta 'soon'...
I am a huge fan of Ableton, but I'm still eager to see what Bitwig's doing. I'm not expecting huge things from a 1.0 release though There was this band Raq, who was intensely influenced by Phish and the Disco Biscuits, to the point of copying some of their schtick (vocal jams, obscure Zappa covers,...

Re: finally... BITWIG STUDIO! beta 'soon'...
just this little gif gary posted makes me think bitwig is being created by guys who actually used Live and were always trying to get the most out of it's workflow. Some of the Abes employee responses during beta testing was what I have expected from them over the years "why would you want to d...

Re: Happy with Live 9?
i stopped using l9 when it was still in beta and now i switched to studio one, so yeah, i'm happy (with S1 which pretty much shits and laughs on live on all occasions). only thing i'm missing with S1 is a modular build-your-own-thingamajig-thing that is M4L but i'm not fucking handing over another 3...

Re: Live 9 Pricing
No, ignorance is just ignorance. Maybe there is other software that beats Live hollow. In fact, I would like to know what else is out there - any tool that I can learn about is good... It's not so much about what else is out there, that's only a matter of preference, just like Windows vs OSX vs Lin...

Re: 64 Bit and Time code Generator please.
well i can go +1 on this thread, and add that ableton should really reconsider, because live is incredibly fast to work with, and is basically a sound designer's dream (yeah, not everyone can afford a freaking kyma-x/pacarana system, and neither wwise or fmod works that good with video heh) when it ...

Re: gen codebox
well.
that means that i should be paying 249 euros for an update with some few features, a half functional (and most likely almost obsolete soon) max for license 4 new or redesigned devices, some example devices and a new browser.
like that would happen..

Re: gen codebox
I just finished a class on delay-based signal processing that was done almost totally using Gen (and a little Csound). I never thought I could wrap my head around Gen either until I jumped right in. Unfortunately the Gen documentation is not up to par with the rest of the Max documentation but they...
